DECEMBER 06, 2016
Sarah Bein, MD
Plasminogen deficiency is a rare condition that is often difficult to diagnose for the simple reason that it is so rare and the treatment (surgery) can often exacerbate the condition (more lesions). Sarah Bein, MD, is a physician as well as a patient with plasminogen deficiency. In this video clip, she talks about how it is diagnosed.
Note: Dr. Bein's reference to 40 or less of normal is in regards to percentage of plasminogen activity level.
