Charcot-Marie-Tooth Neuropathy in Children

In this exclusive interview with Rare Disease Report, Allison Moore, founder and CEO of Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation (HNF) talks about the some of the signs and symptoms that may be present in children with Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy.

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease is an inherited disorder affecting the peripheral motor and sensory neurons. Although it is an inherited condition, the main signs and symptoms such as decreased muscle size and weakness may not present until adolescence or early adulthood. However, many of the early signs of the disease can be spotted in children.
