Educating Clinicians About Gaucher Disease

Many of Gaucher disease's presenting symptoms (hepatosplenomegaly, bone pain, and/or hematological complications) are also found with more common diseases. As a result, diagnosis is often delayed as other tests and consultations are performed.
In this exclusive interview with Rare Disease Report, Gary Frohlich, MS, CGC, Senior Patient Education Liaison for Genzyme Therapeutics talks about the importance of  increasing awareness of Gaucher disease among clinicians so that patients with the condition can be diagnosed and managed earlier.
