Holder, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor in Pediatrics and Neurology and Developmental Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX talks about our current understanding of SYNGAP mutations and some of the studies being conducted to better understand the pathophysiology of SYNGAP mutations as well as clinical studies that are examining the phenotypic spectrum of children with SYNGAP mutations.
Children with SYNGAP mutations have intellectual disability and many suffer from some type of epilepsy.
