Primary Biliary Cholangitis - Diagnosis Can Be Tricky

Gail Wright of the PBC Society of Canada explains the difficulty in obtaining a primary biliary cholangitis diagnosis in some patients because the symptoms are non-specific and liver enzyme tests (alkaline phosphatase) are not commonly examined in a physical exam and/or there are many other reasons why a person would have elevated alkaline phosphatase levels.
