Late Breaking Abstracts For Lysosomal Disease Conference Due December 1st

NOVEMBER 06, 2014
James Radke

WorldSymposium is the conference to be at for anyone interested in lysosomal diseases.  The conference brings together advocates, clinicians, scientists, and industry leaders who are all involved in advancing our understanding and treatment of lysosomal diseases (eg, Batten, Fabry, Gaucher, Pompe, Hurler, Hunter, Morquio A, Niemann-Pick, Sanfillipo, Tay-Sachs, etc).

A key component of the conference is the data presented in either oral or poster form. Most abstracts were due October 1 but the organizers of WorldSymposium are allowing late-breaking abstracts to be submitted from November 1 through to December 1, 2014.

All abstracts received by the original October 1, 2014 deadline are being considered for platform presentation and will be included in the special lysosomes issue of Molecular Genetics and Metabolism published in February 2015. Abstracts received during the late-breaking submission process are for poster presentation only, and will not be published in Molecular Genetics and Metabolism but they will be printed for inclusion in the participant packets for WORLDSymposium 2015.

Details of the agenda at WorldSymposium have not been finalized but in an interview with Dr Chester Whitley at last year's WorldSymposium, he provided a preview of the 2015 conference.

The WorldSymposium will take place February 9-13, 2015 in Orlando, Florida. To learn more, visit http://www.worldsymposia.org/
