The Real Cost of Hearing Aids

Hearing aids are expensive—especially for children who likely need those with blue tooth capabilities to follow along at school.

At the 49th Congress of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology held in Washington D.C., October 12-15, Rare Disease Report spoke with Katee Murawski, the mother of a son who developed hearing loss as a result of the chemotherapy used to treat his cancer.

As Murawski explains in this video, the cost of hearing aids is a major problem given the high incidence of them getting lost or damage due to children being children.
