Doll Kind: Empowering Children to Spread Kindness

SEPTEMBER 14, 2017
Makayla Allison

At the Global Genes Patient and Advocacy Summit, we talked with Makayla Allison, founder of Some1 Like You about Doll Kind, an organization that makes dolls designed to encourage its owners to be kind.

As Makayla explains in this video, a doll was given to her daughter who has Ehlers Danlos syndrome, a disease that can lead to stares from those unfamiliar with the condition.

The doll comes with 12 tokens that pledge acts of kindness that can handed out and/or exchanged - thereby allowing the children to be rewarded for being kind.
