Ed O'Neill, Taylor Hicks, 'The Voice' Finalists to Attend Global Genes' Annual Gala

Want to hang out with Modern Family’s Ed O’Neill & Arrow’s Madison McLaughlin, listen to Taylor Hicks perform, hobnob with Selena Gomez’s dance buddy Audrey Nethery, and be part of a tribute to the late Christina Grimmie?
 
Me too. 
 
On September 24, the 5th Annual Tribute to Champions of Hope will take place at the Huntington Beach Hyatt Resort and Spa.

A Blue Carpet Event 

The annual blue carpet event honors and celebrates rare disease advocates, scientists, patients, and supporters.
 
And each year, the number of top-tier entertainers gets more impressive. The night will also include appearances by fitness model Shaka Smith, YouTube and Vine sensations Alx James, Liza Koshy, and David Dobrik, actor and SEAL Geoff Reeves (Transformers), actor and director, Edward Edwards (RoboCop and Global Arts Corp), and actor, author, philanthropist Travis Flore.
 
christina grimmie, global genes, the voice, tributeThe evening will also include a who’s who from The Voice (Ryan Whyte Maloney, Cali Tucker, Jake Barker, Biff Gore, and Jake Worthington) to help pay tribute to Christina Grimmie, who died this year in a tragic shooting. Christina performed at the 4th Annual Tribute to Champions of Hope.
 
Radio talk show host, Scot “Froggy” Langley will be the master of ceremony for the evening of festivities. Froggy is a rare disease patient (acromegaly) and a beloved advocate for the rare disease community.

RDR will be in attendance and looking forward to sharing the blue carpet experience. 





Summit and Gala at Huntington Beach

The Gala will follow the 5th Annual RARE Patient Advocacy Summit taking place September 22 – 23. The Summit assists patient advocates in becoming successful activists and offers support to help navigate their rare disease journey.
